The Apprentice Technician supports the installation and service of structured cabling, fiber, audiovisual, network, and other low-voltage systems while learning field standards, tools, methods, and documentation requirements. Apprentices work under the direction of the on-site Experienced Technician or Site Lead, who assigns tasks, verifies completion, and provides day-to-day guidance and mentoring.
Assist with installation, cable pulling, device mounting, terminations, labeling, cleanup, and other assigned field tasks.
Learn to read drawings, prints, and schematics and apply them to daily installation activities.
Follow instructions from the on-site Experienced Technician or Site Lead and complete assigned tasks safely and accurately.
Use proper tools, materials, and installation methods in accordance with company standards and project requirements.
Maintain organized work areas and support the crew with material handling, staging, and preparation.
Participate in testing, documentation, and closeout activities as directed.
Upload required progress photos and end-of-day notes through the company CRM.
This is a field-based role reporting directly to the assigned jobsite rather than to a company office.
There is no daily base-office muster and no group travel from a base location.
Apprentices report individually to the designated jobsite check-in point, typically the main entrance.
Daily assignments and work orders are issued and tracked through the internal CRM.
Apprentices work under the direction of the on-site Experienced Technician or Site Lead, who assigns and verifies their tasks.
