Assist the Master Carver/Carvers Leadership in the day-to-day operations of the Carvers duties. The Part-time student helps in the guest engagement and image production of all assignments as directed by the Carvers Leadership.

Position Scope:

• Attends daily co-ordination meetings for the department and assist department Leadership in other meetings throughout the company as needed.
• Helps plan and implement the departments standard of Performance.
• Performs other duties assigned by the Management.

Requirements:

• Communicate with associates in a way that motivates and also commands respect.
• Communicate well and think clearly and objectively under all circumstances.
• Working knowledge about the Polynesian Cultural Center and understand the Hawaii Tourism industry.
• Able to carve the basic designs forms.
• Able to lift 35 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Have a full range of body movements while working with an assortment of power tools and materials.
• Able to work with tools used for carving and carpentry work; both hand and power.
• Must follow the University's Dress and Grooming Standards.
• Preferably able to work during breaks.
