What We Do
First American is seeking a Part-Time, Flexible Associate Commercial Escrow Officer to support our Commercial Real Estate team in downtown Salt Lake City. This opportunity is ideal for third- and fourth-year undergraduate students majoring in business, finance, real estate, or related fields, as well as MBA or MRED (Master’s in Real Estate Development) students. Recent college graduates from these same programs who are looking to launch a career in commercial real estate are also encouraged to apply.
This role provides hands-on exposure to complex commercial real estate transactions, including regional and national deals, while working in a professional, in-office environment alongside experienced commercial professionals. The Associate Commercial Escrow Officer position is designed as a long-term opportunity, with the intent to transition to a full-time role upon graduation or shortly thereafter for strong performers.
What You’ll Do:
• Handle certain types of commercial real estate transactions from open to close with minimal supervision, including documentation coordination and transaction logistics
• Prepare and review closing documents, settlement statements, and escrow instructions for commercial real estate transactions
• Assist with and coordinate funding, disbursement preparation, and post-closing follow-up
• Work closely with Escrow Officers and Underwriting to identify, evaluate, and help reduce transaction risk
• Communicate professionally with customers, lenders, attorneys, brokers, and internal partners throughout the escrow process
• Review and interpret purchase agreements, lender instructions, and related commercial real estate documents
• Support multi-state and national commercial transactions, gaining exposure to varying deal structures and requirements
• Collaborate with the Commercial team to ensure successful and timely closings
What We’re Looking For:
• Junior or senior undergraduate student (business, finance, real estate, or related major), MBA/MRED student, or recent graduate from one of these programs
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professional communication skills and customer-focused mindset
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
• Interest in building a long-term career in commercial real estate services

Pay Range: $24.42 - $32.56 Hourly
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
