Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): 

We are seeking dependable and friendly student employees to assist with the daily operations of The Cage. This position is ideal for someone seeking flexibility, and a fast-paced work environment

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Perform the following duties and responsibilities independently:

• 
  

  Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and established procedures 



• 
  

  Assist with food preparation and ingredient portioning 



• 
  

  Stock and replenish food, supplies and workstations 



• 
  

  Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area throughout the shift



• 
  

  Wash dishes, utensils and equipment as needed



• 
  

  Follow all food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standards



• 
  

  Assist with closing duties



• 
  

  Work as part of the team to provide excellent customer service

Support newer student workers in performing assigned tasks efficiently 

Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills) 

Prior experience performing most or all of the duties and responsibilities for the role is required. 

Completed one whole semester in good standing with Bon Appetit (current role)

Ability to follow recipes, procedures and food safety standards

Reliable and punctual

Friendly and a professional attitude

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical and Environmental Factors:

This position requires crouching, stooping, twisting/pivoting, reaching overhead, grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs., repetitive motions, and operating equipment or machinery to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to loud noise and cramped quarters and rare exposure to respiratory factors, chemicals, wet or humid conditions indoors, and proximity hazards to perform the essential functions. Protective equipment is required to perform some essential functions. Candidates must possess the ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
