Club Sports Event Support Student Worker

Working independently and exercising good judgment and discretion, the Club Sports Operations Work Assistant provides support for events. They will be responsible for the assistance with game day event operations. Such as running clock, keeping score, announcing and playing music for events. They will be involved with the set up, execution and tear down of Club Sport events. They are based out of the LaHaye Ice Center Skate Rental.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Event and Game Day Operations

· Work various roles pertaining to game day operations such as score clock operator, scoresheet handler, music operator, public address announcing, crowd control, ticketing and other responsibilities as assigned.

· Assist the Assistant Director of Events and Events GA’s in regards to setting up, running and tearing down events. 

2.    Facility Upkeep and Cleanliness

· Perform walkthroughs of facilities to ensure they are kept neat and clean.

· Clean locker rooms in between uses.

· Clean and maintain public spaces such as lobbies, concourse and bathrooms.

3.    LaHaye Ice Center Operations

· Work with general public to hand out rental skates and ensure customer satisfaction.

· Sharpen rental skates to ensure they are kept up to a quality code.

· Ensure that the general public are not going into unsafe locations with skates.

5.    Other Duties as Assigned

· This role involves tasks needed in helping with any of the Club Sports teams including lacrosse, hockey, volleyball, wresting, triathlon etc.

· Remains abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services and leading industry performance benchmarks.

· Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
