Commonwealth Senior Living at Haddam, Connecticut will award 3 full Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) training scholarships from our first 20 qualified applicants. After certification, recipients are guaranteed a Resident Care Associate (RCA) role with a one-year employment commitment.

Your Scholarship Includes:

• 100% Free CNA Training: Your full tuition is paid upfront.


• A Guaranteed Job: Pass your exam and move directly into a paid RCA role with a starting rate of $21.00/hour and the possibility of shift differentials .


• Career-Ready Credentials: CPR and First Aid certifications will be provided as part of your training.

How It Works:

What You’ll Need:

• Experience: Prior private duty caregiving or home health experience is desired. Bring compassion and a genuine desire to serve seniors, we provide the training.


• Resident-focused care: Ability to meet residents’ physical and emotional needs.


• Physical ability: Able to lift, stoop, carry, turn, assist high-risk residents, lift and/or carry 50–75 pounds, and remain active throughout the workday.


• Flexible availability: Available to work weekends as needed to support continuous resident care.


• One-year commitment: Agree to work full-time for Commonwealth Senior Living for at least one year after certification or reimburse the company for the training cost.


• Availability: Open to work any shifts.

Your Impact as a Resident Care Associate:

• Provide hands-on care: Support daily tasks, mobility, lifts, transfers, and routine care rounds while protecting dignity and safety.


• Promote well-being: Deliver essential care that maintains skin integrity and helps prevent pressure ulcers.


• Document and protect: Accurately record care using standard computer equipment and follow safety and infection-control procedures.


• Create connection: Offer respectful physical, emotional, and psychosocial support to residents and families in a homelike environment.
