Commercial Service HVAC Trainee

Summary:

• As a Commercial Service HVAC Trainee, you will be immersed in a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this dynamic field.
• As a Trainee with IT Landes, you will work under the guidance of experienced HVAC technicians to gain hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Primary Duties:

• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot issues in HVAC systems using basic tools and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all types of HVAC equipment to verify proper. current operation and to watch for potential problems on behalf of our customers
• Act as a trusted adviser to recommend appropriate repairs and upgrades to our customers
• Discuss pricing, value, and advantages of recommended appropriate repairs and upgrades
• Build strong customer relationships and build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations
• Assist in the installation of commercial HVAC systems under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Support routine maintenance and service calls for HVAC units in various commercial establishments.
• Participate in training sessions to understand HVAC theory, system operations, and safety practices.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used during service calls.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to provide excellent customer service.
• Perform related work as assigned

Qualifications:

• Preferred 3 yrs. experience specific to the HVAC industry
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training in HVAC is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of HVAC principles.
• Possess your own basic hand tools
• Ability to read, understand, and work from specifications and drawings
• Ability to work safely and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, or stand, lift and move heavy objects
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
• Ability to work on call
