Career & Technical Education (CTE) provides students with the opportunity to explore career pathways while earning industry-recognized skills and credentials. These programs combine classroom instruction with hands-on learning to prepare students for college, careers, and beyond.

 

What is CTE?

Gain real-world experience in a chosen career field 

Earn industry certifications while in high school 

Take college-level courses through dual enrollment and earn college credits through CTE articulation agreements 

Build critical skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity 

Graduate with both a high school diploma and career credentials

Programs begin in 10th grade and continue through 12th grade 

Students complete 1,080 hours of hands-on training 

Opportunities to connect with local employers, colleges, and industry partners 

Participation in Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), such as FBLA, HOSA, SkillsUSA, or DECA, for leadership and competition opportunities
