Diesel Technology Student - Tuition Reimbursement

Our Mitchell, SD location is looking to add a Diesel Technology student to the team! If you are enrolled in a diesel program at an accredited tech school and are looking for company sponsorship, this is a great way to get tuition paid (up to $25,000) and secure a full-time position as a Service Technician following graduation.

Complete your required internship through C&B as a paid position while in school.  Once accepting a full-time Service Technician position, you will be reimbursed for your tuition expenses each month over the course of a 5-year period.  Continue building your skills and learning from the best!

Essential Duties:

• Participates in building technical skills related to diesel service work


• Meets educational institution's attendance requirements 


• Completes assignments and labwork as required


• Maintains a 3.2 GPA or higher


• Participates in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge


• Gains product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products


• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion


• Follows all safety procedures and works in a safe manner

Qualifications: 

• Currently attending or accepted to an accredited Diesel Technology Program


• Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling


• Ability to work in a team environment


• Interest in learning methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of machinery, engines and other related equipment


• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, preferred


• Ability for critical thinking and resourcefulness to complete tasks


• Willingness to learn and train in new technologies


• Valid Drivers License and a safe driving record
