Extended Time (ET) Aide

Are you looking to make a difference, gain experience working with children, and have fun while doing it? Join our Extended Time team at the Crystal Lake Park District! We’re looking for enthusiastic and dependable individuals to help create a safe, welcoming, and playful environment for children in our before and after school program.

Location: Various Crystal Lake Elementary Schools
Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:15-8:45am and/or 3-6:15pm

What You'll Do:

• Welcome and engage with children as they arrive.


• Support games, crafts, homework, and more.


• Keep the space clean, organized, and safe.


• Set up breakfast or snacks (and clean up too!)


• Be a role model by supporting social, emotional, and physical development.


• Assist with daily setup and cleanup of activities.


• Assist the Site Supervisor to bring each day to life!

What We're Looking For:

• Age 15 or older (perfect for high schoolers looking to build experience!)


• Friendly and responsible with a love for kids.


• Strong communication and teamwork skills.


• Takes initiative and can follow through with minimal supervision.


• Reliable and ready to have fun while staying professional.


• Available to work weekday mornings, afternoons—or both!

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience working with children (babysitting, camps, tutoring, etc.)


• Interest in education, recreation, child development, or teaching


• CPR/First Aid certification (not required but nice to have!)
