Job Title: Extern in Dermatology

Job Type: Internship/Externship

Job Location: Lake Oswego

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Extern in Dermatology. As an Extern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced dermatologists and gain hands-on experience in the field of dermatology. You will be responsible for assisting with patient care, performing basic procedures, and participating in educational activities.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with patient care, including taking medical histories, performing physical exams, and documenting patient information

- Perform basic dermatological procedures, such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and excisions

- Participate in educational activities, including attending lectures and grand rounds

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in a medical or physician assistant program

- Strong interest in dermatology

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
