Job Description - FamilySearch Latin America Homeland Intern

Description

The Latin America FamilySearch Intern will support the Planning Peam across all Latin American countries. They will help manage communications with volunteers throughout the US and Latin America as we grow a Community of Ambassadors who will contribute to FamilySearch efforts in Latin America.



Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing the communication strategy and processes for the community.

  • Manage the content calendar and communications for the ambassadors in Utah and all 6 ecclesiastical areas for multiple types of projects.

  • Help consolidate and document training materials for projects.

  • Perform and coordinate genealogical research.

  • Edit the FamilySearch Wiki and support its volunteers in Spanish and Portuguese.



Qualifications
  • Knowledge of family history research principles in Latin America and the FamilySearch Family Tree

  • Fluent, with writing skills, in Spanish and/or Portuguese

  • Social media content creation experience a plus

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience in Excel

  • Strategic mindset

 

Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
