Co-op Program Overview

The Arrowstreet Co-op Program provides an exciting opportunity to learn about the institutional asset management industry and Arrowstreet as a company while gaining deep experience within a specific function. Job Overview

The Fund Operations group is responsible for the functions that support the operations of our firm’s sponsored fund products, including, client and investor reporting (semi-monthly and daily), audit cycles, fund related tax work, board reporting support, oversight responsibility of the Arrowstreet Sponsored Funds (the Funds), and management of the fund’s service provider relationships.  The co-op role provides the opportunity to learn about the institutional asset management industry through exposure to the wide range of operations and respective functions that support both the investment as well as client side of our business.  This role will also contribute to both ongoing processes as well as future strategic initiatives.  This role provides an excellent opportunity to understand the inner workings of an investment manager and provides insight into many different facets of the organization.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, analytical, display an ability to take initiative, and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis on investor types, the portfolios, and other elements to support various initiatives in the Funds

  • Assist team in reviewing daily and monthly fund and investor valuations.

  • Contribute production and review of investor reporting and deliverables (preparation of monthly investor reporting packages, daily and monthly fund valuation packages, scheduled reporting materials for completeness and accuracy).

  • Support documentation process and review related to fund financial reporting and audit cycles

  • Support the Fund’s tax team

  • Prepare and maintain the Fund Operations Co-Op handbook.

  • Contribute to board reporting tasks as it pertains to the Funds.

  • Assist with on-going strategic initiatives including identifying and testing efforts to automate manual workflows.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic record in the undergraduate program with a finance, business, accounting, mathematics or computer science focus.

  • A positive attitude with enthusiasm and maturity.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and problem solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments.

  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with other team members and other stakeholders, both internal and external to Arrowstreet.

  • Committed to the quality of their work product and seeing assignments through to completion.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong curiosity in how things work.

  • A strong interest in the investment management industry.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21-$29 per hour.
