Future Housing Leaders Intern - Freddie Mac

Future Housing Leaders connects college students to potential paid internship and entry-level job opportunities with top employers in the housing industry who are committed to diversity and inclusion.  

Future Housing Leaders also provides access to resources, including a peer network, and educational materials to help students succeed. Future Housing leaders reaches students across the country through partnerships with the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), and Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT).

Future Housing Leaders supports students during their internship experiences at Employer Partner companies by:

• Providing exclusive access to training resources, like Harvard ManageMentor 

• Creating opportunities to network with other students in the program at universities across the country  

• Sharing housing industry-specific information to ensure students have the skills and knowledge to succeed 

• Connecting students to leaders in the industry through on-campus events like the Housing Matters series and online webinars  

Renters and homeowners are changing, skewing younger and more diverse than ever before. There is a need to meet the housing needs of historically underserved markets, many of which have unique challenges that may be unfamiliar to the housing industry’s current workforce. A career in housing offers the unique opportunity to give back to communities that need it most, providing access to a basic need – affordable shelter.
