Job Description - Inclusive Excellence Graduate Assistant

Title:                           Inclusive Excellence Graduate Assistant

Office:                        Inclusive Excellence/Office of the President (OEI)

Reports to:               Chief Inclusive Excellence Officer, Sadie Burton-Goss, Ph.D.

Pay Rate: $20/hour

                                   

Job Summary:

The Graduate Student Associate will work with OEI staff and partners providing support for communications, research, calendar/event management, and program planning. General administrative duties will include file maintenance, data entry, word processing, phone calls, and web-based research projects. Graduate Student Associates will also assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain contact database for internal and external partnerships, programs and events.
  • Support multi-media communications strategies, (email, website, US mail, telephone, social media).
  • Scheduling OIE engagements for internal and external campus-wide programs and meetings.
  • Assist OIE team with program planning, nd preparation, documentation,
  • Assist with OIE internal and external event calendar management as needed.
  • Filing, organizing, phone calls, email marketing, and event promotion
  • Web-based research, presentation design, social media, and digital engagement
  • Design and develop PowerPoint and Excel presentations
  • Create data graphics for routine reports (dashboards, metrics, scorecards, various charts, tables
  • Diversity related research projects for programming and strategic planning

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a currently enrolled  full-time student at Babson College in either the Graduate School
  • Working interest in diversity, multicultural and international education
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and generative AI tools

Additional Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and detailed oriented
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with technology including generative AI
  • Enjoys the demands of multi-tasking, working with people at all levels in a highly diverse environment.
