Intern - Civil Engineering

JEA is seeking Civil Engineer students for our paid 2027 Summer Internship Program. Students selected to participate in our Internship Program will have an opportunity to gain real world, on-the-job experience, and network with business professionals to develop valuable leadership, professional etiquette and presentation skills.

As a Civil Engineering Intern with JEA, you will have an opportunity to leverage your skills in water distribution, water reclamation, power generation and distribution industry. You will take on meaningful work being exposed to projects in specialty areas. The internship will include visits to water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, lift stations and pump stations. Observing construction activities for utility projects (pipelines, tanks, site improvements). Shadowing inspectors or experienced engineers during contractor meetings and field checks.

To be considered you must meet the following requirements:

• Rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering:
• GPA of 3.0 or higher (copy of most recent transcript required)
•  Available to work a 32-hour work week for 13 weeks between May and August (Jacksonville, FL)
