Intern, Process Improvement

Job Summary

Join F&G as a Summer 2027 intern and gain relevant experience, professional development, and incredible networking at a growing company. This position's primary responsibility is to support the Process Improvement team in identifying, documenting, and analyzing business processes across the organization, with a focus on helping drive efficiency and quality improvements. This position will work with individuals on cross-functional teams and partner closely with business unit leaders and subject matter experts.

This position reports to the Director, Enterprise Process Improvement and will have the opportunity to interact across multiple departments and functions throughout F&G.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in mapping current-state and future-state business processes


• Support data collection and analysis to identify inefficiencies, waste, and improvement opportunities


• Help develop and maintain process documentation, including team SOPs and process flow diagrams


• Assist in tracking and reporting on KPIs related to process performance


• Support project teams with coordination, scheduling, and status tracking for process improvement initiatives


• Assist in researching automation opportunities, including RPA and AI-enabled tools


• Help prepare presentations and summaries for leadership on improvement findings and recommendations


• Participate in cross-functional meetings and stakeholder discussions to gather requirements and feedback


• Assist in maintaining a repository of process documentation that is organized, accurate, and easily accessible


• Provide general administrative and analytical support to the Process Improvement team as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This role does not have formal people leadership responsibilities but may provide guidance, mentorship, or subject matter expertise to others.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED


• Pursuing a bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field

• This position primarily involves sedentary work, requiring long periods of sitting, regular use of a computer, and occasional standing or walking, with reasonable accommodations available.
