Intern, Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management - Summer, 2027

Summary

Join F&G as a Summer 2027 intern and gain relevant experience, professional development, and incredible networking at a growing company. Support the Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management (SS-VM) team in a variety of tasks including building the SS-VM SharePoint site, enhancing the SS-VM processes, problem solving, collaboration, and promoting operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

The range of tasks to be performed may include: 

• Complete third-party vendor risk assessments


• Customize reporting and dashboards in new vendor risk tool


• Review invoices to ensure that vendors are in the vendor management database with a valid contract


• Review, redline, negotiate with the vendor, and complete NDAs and Events contracts


• Draft new staff augmentation contracts and extensions


• Review data and spend across companies to identify common vendors


• Attend Weekly Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management team meetings

Experience and Education

• Business Administration, Strategic Sourcing, Risk Management or Finance related majors


• Interest in a career within Financial Services is preferred

Skills and Abilities

A successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:

• Exposure to computer programming languages and SharePoint


• Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint


• Highly motivated and demonstrated ability to take initiative


• Desire to learn about internal processes


• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels


• Desire to understand and logically analyze data


• Excellent organizational and time management skills


• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
