Intern-Reliability Engineer

What this Department does: 

The Field Services – Reliability department is a specialized team within the organization focused on enhancing the availability and uptime of equipment (fixed and rotating). We work collaboratively with the operations team to prevent unplanned downtime, minimize customer interruptions and improve overall competitive advantage.

What you'll do:

You can expect to: 

• Develop/ execute/learn technology driven maintenance initiatives (condition-based alarms using Seeq/PI/etc.) 
• Basic rotating equipment troubleshooting
• Create and enhance IotaView/PI dashboards
• Document control around new reliability procedures

What you will learn:

• To apply academic knowledge for real-world engineering challenges on various rotating equipment including engine, compressor, motor, turbine and pumps
• To apply engineering principles to identify and address equipment reliability issues
• To expand technical writing capability by developing clear and concise documentation for reliability procedures

What will you bring?

Education:

Students actively enrolled in an approved Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree program with expected graduation date of December 2026 through May 2028.

Experience/Specific Knowledge 

• Thermodynamics 
• Heat Transfer
• System and Vibration

What else you’ll need to know:

Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person/remote hybrid at our Lakewood, CO office. We will host our Summer 2027 interns from May-August for 10 weeks. 

 Compensation And Other Benefits

• Pay Range $26.18-$37.09 USD hourly
• The final pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package for this role may also include; paid time off, a housing stipend, and more.
