Job Description - Investments Rotational Associate

Who You’ll Work With:

AllianceBernstein’s investment teams include Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset & Hedge Fund Solutions and Responsible Investing and in total manage over $710 billion in assets:

  • Equities –Manages assets for a wide variety of institutional, high-net-worth and retail clients.  Investment professionals mange portfolios of equities ranging from small cap to mega cap stocks, spanning the style spectrum from value to core to growth, covering all geographies and including specialized portfolios such as thematic, low-volatility and quantitative strategies.
  • Fixed Income – Manages assets for a broad spectrum of clients, including retail investors, high-net-worth clients and major institutions. Investment strategies are managed across the risk/return spectrum, including rates & currencies, investment-grade and high-yield credit, emerging markets, securitized debt, and municipal bonds.
  • Multi-Asset & Hedge Fund Solutions – Manages assets for global institutions, high-net-worth individuals and retail mutual funds. Macro and quantitative research insights are used to develop innovative investment products and drive investment decisions. The business oversees a range of investment services including Thematic Outcome Oriented Solutions, Alternatives, Total Return, Risk Managed Strategies, Retirement, and Systematic Strategies.
  • Responsible Investing - Sets the strategy for responsible investment across the firm, and partners with our investment teams in Equities, Fixed Income, Private Alternatives, Multi-Asset and Hedge Funds to integrate ESG criteria into our investment processes, Our approach encompasses partnership (most notably our partnership with Columbia University’s Climate School), education, research, stewardship and solutions.

What You’ll Do:

The Investments Rotational Associate Program provides selected graduates exposure to our investment teams (Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset & Hedge Fund Solutions and Responsible Investing).  Through four, six-month rotations you will learn about the different investment roles (e.g., fundamental and quantitative research, trading, portfolio management as well as data science and technology innovation) with rotations in more than one asset class. Specific asset class placement and roles will be determined through a combination of Associate interest, company need and location specific opportunities. Our goal is to place all associates in a full-time investment role upon program graduation, however participation in this program does not guarantee an offer of future employment.

Examples of prior rotations include:

  • Research into the key controversies of the internet service sector (e.g., Google, Facebook) for our Large Cap US Growth Fund (Equities)
  • Analysis of several Asian consumer companies for our Emerging Market Strategic Core Fund (Equities)
  • Testing factors for inclusion in multi-asset quantitative models (Multi-Asset & Hedge Fund Solutions)
  • Supporting portfolio managers in portfolio implementation and monitoring (Multi-Asset & Hedge Fund Solutions)
  • Partnering with traders to build and implement tools that reduce transaction costs (Fixed Income)
  • Implementing quantitative research methods that leverage various data sets to enhance the investment process (Fixed Income)
  • Update AB tool that identifies and quantifies material ESG factors by industry (Responsible Investing)
  • Assess investee companies using our proprietary climate transition risk framework and prepare investment teams for engagements with these companies (Responsible Investing)

What We’re Looking For:

  • December 2025 through May/June 2026 Bachelor’s degree candidates
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher
  • Demonstrated interest in the financial markets and investing, and a desire to pursue a CFA or other investment related delegations
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and an openness to learning about various asset classes and investment roles and responsibilities
  • Strong quantitative, critical thinking and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Knowledge and experience with Python, Matlab, or SQL preferred
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite – PowerPoint, Excel
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (must be able to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future)
  • Candidates must be able to work full-time, in-person, beginning July 13th, 2026.
  • Selected candidates will need to successfully complete a thorough background check
