Jimmy Johns - Food Services Student Worker (FWS/NFWS)

Purpose within the Organization:
The purpose of this position is to assist the Jimmy John’s at Grand Canyon University by working as a Food Service Worker.

Responsibilities:

• As a food service worker, you are responsible for the preparation, presentation and execution of all the items on the menu.
• The ability to prepare and present all items on the menu in a timely manner.
• Efficiently running your station during your shift.
• Exercising good safety, sanitation and organizational skills.

Equipment Used and Responsibility

• POS System, taking orders on a cash register
• Proofing Oven-proofing frozen dough during the day.
• Baking oven, making fresh bread in the day
• Slicer-Slicing deli meats during the day
• Dishes – Hand Washing dishes

Qualifications:

• Ability to quickly grasp and utilize new concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellence in time management with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Detail oriented with the ability to handle stress during peak times.
• Seeking individuals with the ability to collaborate with all members of the team.

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
 

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
