We have an exciting short-term job opportunity as Marketing & Communications Intern this Fall 2026! 
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:  You'll play a key role in supporting the Marketing & Communications team in promoting programs, events, facilities and services through engaging and timely content.



  • Assist in the overall functions of the Marketing & Communications department.

  • Assist with creating engaging content for the District’s websites, social media channels, email
    communications, and other platforms.

  • Photograph and record video at District programs, events, and facilities.

  • Create short-form video content for social media.

  • Assist with planning and developing social media content.

  • Write, edit and proofread marketing materials, including news articles, newsletters, and other
    communications.

  • Create basic graphics and promotional materials using established brand standards and templates.

  • Assist with developing promotional campaigns for programs, events, facilities, and other District
    initiatives.

  • Assist with proofreading and quality control to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to District.



WHAT YOU’LL BRING:



  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong internal and external customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.

  • Ability to create engaging and concise social media content.

  • Basic photography and videography skills. 

  • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity in Canva.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

  • Creativity, initiative and willingness to learn.

  • Interest in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, digital media, graphic design, or related field.

  • Previous experience creating content for social media, school organizations, or community organizations is a plus.



WHEN YOU’LL WORK:



  • 15-19 hours/week, schedule will vary depending on availability.



WHAT YOU’LL GET:



  • The hourly rate for this position is $15.25/hour. 

  • This position falls under Pay Grade D with a pay range of $15.25 - $25.50.
