Mobile Fit Instructor - Summer 2026 - J.A. Henry YMCA

Join us at the YMCA on our traveling day-camp team as a Mobile Fit Summer Counselor. By bringing Food & Fun to children and teens in the community, you'll be making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. 

Enjoy a flexible summer job with shifts Monday - Friday from 9am-2pm or 10am-3pm.

Responsibilities:

• Pick up and transport food and supplies from Food & Fun kitchen to various sites
• Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times
• Provide 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity and serve prepared meals at each site visit
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be 17 years of age or older
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Prior experience working with diverse populations of children/youth preferred

Physical Demands:

• Sufficient agility and mobility to perform essential functions of the job
• Ability to participate in activities in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings and various temperatures

Training:

• CPR, First Aid & AED required within the first 30 days of employment
• New Employee Orientation required within the first week of employment
• Child & Adult Food Care Program (CFCP/SFSP) Certification required within the first week of hire
