Planning Intern

DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is seeking to hire a Planning Intern for the Summer of 2027. With multiple offices in Wisconsin, the successful Planning Intern will work under the direction of a Planner or Project Manager in the Madison and/or Milwaukee, WI office supporting the planning department with technical duties and daily activities. In this internship, you may also have the opportunity to work in the field supporting mapping, planning, and engagement efforts. 

We are seeking an Intern for the Summer 2027.  

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Urban Planning or Urban Design


• Focus in transportation and urban mobility preferred.


• Software proficiency – Microsoft Office. Mapping and design software proficiency preferred.


• Strong written/verbal communication skills


• Proficiency in organization and presentation of documentation

COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $24 - $27 per hour. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
