Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The PR & Media Communications team is responsible for highlighting and pitching Arthrex stories in the media, both locally and nationally. We are searching for an intern pursuing a degree in communications, media or journalism to support the PR & Media Communications team at Arthrex Inc. The candidate will help with media relations initiatives including helping to manage Arthrex’s patient stories campaigns, ideating new and innovative ways to tell stories on social media, assist in editing news highlights, collaborate on media monitoring initiatives and more with guidance from the PR & Media Communications team. The individual will be creative, detail oriented, organized and collaborative. This internship will run from May 2027 – August 2027. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Edit and develop news highlights, social media content, and other digital communications.

  • Assist in drafting and optimizing engaging social media copy across multiple platforms.

  • Support the planning, development, and execution of creative concepts for digital, broadcast, and print marketing campaigns.

  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing insights and reporting as needed.

  • Assist with public relations initiatives and communications for corporate stakeholders, including support for Talent Acquisition. 


 


Education and Experience:



  • Progress towards a college degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media or Sports Marketing required. A college junior or above required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)

  • Social media platform knowledge required.

  • AP Style writing skills required.


 


Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:


Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.


 


Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:


PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
