Pay: $17–$25 per hour

Now hiring for our three Metro Detroit locations: Madison Heights, Clinton Township, and Farmington Hills.

Healing Haven is a state-of-the-art behavioral health organization with three clinics across Metro Detroit supporting children with autism and their families. We serve the entire family through a collaborative, multidisciplinary model that includes ABA, Speech and Occupational Therapy, Counseling, Parent Training, and Autism Testing.

About the Compass Program

We are seeking individuals enrolled in or planning to pursue a Master’s program in ABA (or a related field) to join our Compass Program. This is a structured, full-time fieldwork practicum designed to prepare students for the BCBA role by providing exposure to various restricted and unrestricted experiences within a professional clinic setting.

Professional Support & Academic Benefits

  • Flexible Fieldwork Tracks – We support both the standard 2,000-hour and concentrated 1,500-hour tracks, depending on your supervision needs.

  • Paid Fieldwork (Restricted & Unrestricted) – A benefit-eligible role where you are compensated for both direct therapy and clinical support tasks.

  • Tuition Savings – Benefit from our partnerships with select universities offering discounted tuition for Healing Haven employees.

  • Expert Mentorship – Consistent individual and group supervision led by experienced BCBAs and a doctoral level BCBA.

  • Advanced Clinical Opportunities – Sharpen your skills through participation in research, specialized clinical projects, and professional presentations.

  • Career Pathway – Our program is designed to prepare you for a BCBA role, with many participants continuing their professional journey with Healing Haven after certification.

Standard Benefits

  • Stability & Security – Medical, dental, vision, disability, and employer-paid life insurance.

  • Plan for Your Future – 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions.

  • Time Off & Flexibility – Paid Time Off (PTO), sick time, and holiday pay, plus Earned Wage Access for financial flexibility.

  • Referral Rewards That Matter – Earn up to $5,000 in 9 months for Technician referrals and up to $6,000 in 6 months for BCBA referrals.

What Sets Us Apart

  • Adaptive, Role-Based Training – Gain a well-rounded education by rotating through various supervised practicum roles based on your skillset and current company needs.

  • Competency-Based Progression – We use a structured feedback system to track your growth, ensuring you demonstrate competency in each role before moving to the next.

  • Focus on Resilient Clinicians – We prioritize professional check-ins and stress management to help our future clinicians build long-term career success.

  • Collaborative Multidisciplinary Team – Learn how ABA intersects with Speech and Occupational Therapy in a real-world clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality 1:1 ABA therapy under BCBA supervision (Restricted Hours).

  • Participate in supervised clinical and administrative support activities to satisfy BACB requirements (Unrestricted Hours).

  • Rotate through various clinical and support roles as dictated by training progression and clinic needs.

  • Engage in weekly individual and group supervision to review goals and performance feedback.

Minimum Requirements

  • Academic Status – Enrollment in an accredited Master’s or Doctoral program in ABA or a related field. Students who have already begun their fieldwork hours are encouraged to apply.

  • Commitment – Full-time availability within a structured clinical schedule.

  • Professionalism – Strong communication, reliability, and a clean employment record.

  • Compliance – Ability to pass a national criminal background check.

  • Physical Ability– Ability to walk, run, lift, squat, bend, and push/pull up to 30 lbs as needed.
