Pre-Apprentice - Projects, Mechanical

The Mechanical Pre-Apprentice will help journeymen as needed. 

 Job Duties and Responsibilities: 
 Helper for journeymen

Lift watch

Maintain tools and equipment that are assigned

Keep work areas clean of debris

Performs other duties as assigned

 
Required Education/Experience:  
High school diploma or equivalent and enrolled in Apprenticeship program.  
 
Competencies:  
• Ability to communicate with team.  
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 
• Ability to use hand and power tools.  
 
Physical Demands  
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. This position requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work.
