Job Description - Prescision Technology Intern

PRECISION TECHNOLOGY INTERN

The Precision Technology Department is an essential piece to the success of the business and customer experience at Bane-Welker. The precision technology intern is responsible for assisting with product selling, installation, troubleshooting, and data management. Throughout this internship, the intern will gain knowledge in equipment technology, customer relations and selling.

Dates: May to August

Location: IN

Education Specifications:

Sophomore or Junior Status

Major in Agriculture Business, Business Management, Business Analytics, Agriculture Systems Management, Engineering, or similar major

Principal Responsibilities:

Conduct product research to better understand each precision technology product line and offering

Participate in product recommendations, installations and troubleshooting to ensure customer operations are productive and efficient

Manage assigned summer projects to develop department and business goals

Provide project updates to managers regarding updates and timelines

Utilize product and customer knowledge to develop data management information for internal and external use

Develop project implementation plan and follow- through

Draft internal and external promotional materials to enhance the understanding of the AFS department

Review and recommend growth opportunities throughout the territory

Facilitate shadows with employees to experience all departments

Requirements of Position:

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Willingness to learn and develop in new areas

Ability to be a self-starter

Present to large group of professionals with poise

Ability to solve problems accurately and efficiently in a fast- paced environment

Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills

Ability to travel for work related assignments

Basic knowledge of agriculture equipment

Reports to Regional AFS Manager
