Job Description - Prospect Development Student Worker

DEPARTMENT PURPOSE: The Prospect Development team contributes to the mission by strategically guiding and supporting fundraising efforts through data-driven prospect identification and development.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: This position will provide support to the Prospect Development team, including but not limited to resending prospect referrals, developing informational one-pagers, and providing general prospect engagement support.
KEY AREAS OF FOCUS:
Assist with reviewing Linkedln profiles of OSU alumni and report relevant updates to the Records and lnformation Management team
Assist with creating and maintaining lists of prior prospect referrals for distribution to fundraisers
Assist with tracking outcomes of prospect referrals
Assist with Prospect Research and Prospect Engagement projects as assigned
Other duties as assigned.
JOB COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE: Education & Certifications-
Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's or graduate degree program
Experience-
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of the job responsibilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Organizational skills and attention to detail is a must
Proficient computer skills with basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
Cooperative attitude with a desire to learn
Minimum of 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday (and continuing through the fall/ spring)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:â¯Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via video conferencing. Requires frequent repetitive motions whenoperatingcomputers, telephones, and standard office equipment. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or attending meetings. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to approximately 20 pounds.
