Respiratory Extern- Float Pool

Job Shift: Rotate

Job Type: Per Diem

Responsible for performing multiple duties that require experience in the assembly, transport, disinfection, calibration and troubleshooting of respiratory related equipment.  The Respiratory Student Extern works under the direction of a Respiratory Therapist. The extern is responsible for maintaining an appropriate level of equipment in the various work areas and assisting Respiratory Therapists with various procedures and tasks as directed.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Actively enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
Preferred: 2nd year Respiratory Therapy student with previous healthcare experience

Experience:
Previous experience with assembly and cleaning or respiratory equipment

License:
NA

Certifications:
BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)   
ACLS & PALS prior to graduation
