Student Accounting & Administrative Support

Under the direct supervision of the Student Payroll Coordinator -  performs clerical duties related to the Accounting and Administrative Department. Committed to providing exemplary service to internal and external customers

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Cooperatively interfaces with others in a courteous and pleasant manner, thereby leaving a favorable impression.  
2. Provides effective written and oral communication.
3. Helps maintain student payroll-related files including hard copies (master files) and scanned versions of identification and I-9 forms.
4. Assists with all regular (professional, hourly and casual) labor studies.
5. Provides Accounts Payable Vendor filing support.
6. Supports the Human Resources Department with various projects as needed: duties can include but are not limited to: filing, data entry for reports, creating and completing spreadsheets and copying and folding employee notification flyers.
7. Assists to calculate student longevity awards. Prepares award cards and certificates and sends them to the appropriate manager/director for their signatures, and then puts them with student checks for pay day.
8. Provides telephone reception support as needed.
9. May sort and distribute student payroll checks. 
10. May assist new student employees in completing employment applications, I-9s and tax forms. Assists current students with any changes. Provides an annual update of exempt status.
11. Performs additional related duties and/or special projects as assigned by Controller.
