  • Schedule: Work hours will be scheduled around class commitments during USF business hours (8AM-5PM. Up to 20 hours a week. 

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

  • Create various types of analytical artifacts (such as User Stories, Process Maps, Swimlane Diagrams, and more) which fit with specific situations for differing types of business needs and technology solutions.
  • Learn about the Scrum process for product development through participation and contribution as a team member.
  • Explain the value and efficiency gains achieved through process redesign activities.
  • Develop practical experience using ticket management processes and software such as Jira to track, document, communicate, and support resolution of ERP-related issues across functional and technical teams.

Responsibilities

This Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Analyst Student Assistant role will be a part of ERP product development team(s) in USF’s Information Technology department and will primarily be responsible for the following duties:

  • Generate business requirements for key initiatives.
  • Ensure Product Owners and the Product Development teams have pertinent info to conduct effective development work.
  • Ensure effective documentation is in place and well-communicated across the product development team(s).
  • Conduct process mapping activities with functional and technical teams, to document current- and future-state flows, processes, architectures, and more.
  • Guiding or supporting process redesign and improvement efforts that enable greater client self-service/automation capabilities.
  • Support Oracle Service Request (SR) and Huron ticket management activities by reviewing, tracking, documenting, and updating tickets; coordinating with functional and technical teams to gather needed information; monitoring ticket status and follow-up actions; and helping ensure issues are appropriately prioritized, communicated, and resolved in alignment with ERP product development needs.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires 2 years of education and/or prior experience in conducting business analysis duties or directly related activities; applicants must be current USF student during the appointed semester and meet the requirements of USF.
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior business analysis experience with large-scale ERP systems.
