Student PAC Marketing Assistant

Job Description

• Provide administrative support to the Marketing & Communications Manager
• Assist with Soka PAC social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc) by planning, writing and scheduling Facebook & Instagram posts for Soka PAC.
• Utilize interpersonal and customer service skills in reaching out to current and potential audience groups and individuals.
• Design marketing materials like posters, flyers, and tabletop signs to inform and entice Soka students and employees about Soka PAC events. Marketing materials will be designed in Canva, InDesign & Photoshop and will follow the overall Soka PAC branding standards. Distribute and post marketing materials around campus in approved locations.
• Compose and edit emails and text messages to a variety of campus groups and potential audience members.
• Scan and organize paperwork and computer files, maintain email addresses for PAC mailing list, update online calendar listings and PAC webpages, and support PAC events and program creation as needed.

• Working with the Marketing & Communications Manager of Soka Performing Arts Center, increase existing outreach for audience development for Soka PAC.
• More duties to be assigned/adjusted to accommodate the development of the Campus Outreach Plan and the needs of the PAC staff.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good writing and proofreading skills.
• Prior knowledge of marketing and graphic design is desired, but not required as training will be provided on an as-needed, ongoing basis.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, experience and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the range listed here.
