Student Undergraduate Tutor 1 - Academic Learning and Tutoring Center

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Undergraduate Tutor 1

Hourly Pay Rate: $13.00 (undergraduate students), $15.00 (graduate students)

Peer Educators on the Tutoring Team provide 1-on-1 tutoring, and other programming for undergraduate students of Newcomb Tulane College.  Tutors report to the Senior Program Coordinator for Tutoring.

JOB DUTIES: 

• Attend all Tutoring trainings and meetings
• Post at least 6 hours of availability per week during standard ALTC operating hours
• Provide superior service and utilize best practices in both individual and group tutoring settings
• Communicate with the Team Captains and ALTC staff
• Keep accurate records including appointment status and WaveWorks
• Have a good understanding of Penji, our website, and other technology platforms
• Participate as a team member in observations and peer mentoring and contribute to the general pool of resource materials.
• Fulfill all administrative duties as required by the ALTC staff in a timely manner 
• Regularly promote the ALTC and its programs to your clients
