About the Role & Program
Bring your enthusiasm for entertainment from the classroom to the real world at one of the top entertainment studios globally. You'll join the Studio Operations Planning division at The Walt Disney Studios. In this position, you'll collaborate directly with a team that works every day alongside post‑production filmmakers, marketing departments, distribution operations, and localization partners. Together, you’ll help build and maintain the roadmap needed for successful global distribution across theatrical releases, streaming services, and physical media platforms. This opportunity offers practical industry experience and immerses you in the complete process of how Disney stories reach audiences around the world.
This role is perfect for an intern who is proactive, curious, and enjoys working collaboratively in a lively, innovative, and inclusive setting.
What You Will Do
Assist with creating content plans as they relate to theatrical and Disney+ releases
Shadow team members in cross-functional meetings with Post-Production teams, International Post Ops, Marketing, Distribution Ops, and Disney+/ Hulu Content Planning
Participate in stakeholder meetings for Studio Operations tools and process-specific sessions, learning the forward-facing and behind-the-scenes function of Planning
Work closely with the planning team on the tools and systems that drive content plans, with a focus on data construction
Learn the onboarding process that drives adaption and evolution in the Planning methodology
Aid with weekly and ad hoc reporting
Required Qualifications & Skills
Proficient in using applications such as Microsoft Office and G-Suite applications
Knowledge of production and post-production for film and streaming
Strong project management skills, able to handle multiple deadlines
Experience with process documentation and workflow diagrams
Interest in media businesses (theatrical, home entertainment, streaming)
Proficient with visual reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Airtable
Preferred Qualifications & Skills :
Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP)
Education
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Film/Cinema & Television, Business, Communications, Administration, or a related field preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
Must provide full work availability from June through August 2026.
Must provide own housing and transportation, position is located in Burbank, CA.
