Position Overview:The Sword is the official student newspaper of Concordia University, St. Paul. Written and produced by students, faculty, and staff, The Sword, is published roughly monthly from September through May. Writers, photographers, and editors of The Sword come from many different fields of study at Concordia, not only Communication and English but any department from Theology to Design.
Essential Duties:
Attend the planning meetings for The Sword that the editor calls on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. in Luther 111.
Communicate any conflicts to your editor well in advance to ensure meeting deadlines.
Be open to constructive feedback and work on areas of improvement in writing.
Participate in team building activities with fellow staff.
Complete all university requirements to include submitting timecards by the deadline for each pay period.
To be eligible to be a CSP student employee, one must:
Be enrolled and registered as a CSP student (PSEO students are not eligible).
Be in good standing with CSP academic requirements and student accounts.
Have declared a major with CSP.
For summer employment, priority will be given to the student employees who are enrolled and registered in summer courses.
