2026 UH Summer Internship with ESRA and Argonne National Laboratory.
Project on hydrogen spillover at Au/TiO₂ interfaces. Developing code to solve a one-dimensional diffusion problem in which kinetic models are incorporated as boundary conditions. This model simulates hydrogen formed at interface sites between Au and TiO₂, followed by diffusion of hydrogen species onto the TiO₂ support. The model can describe both adsorption behavior and temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) virtual experiments. The desorption simulations are particularly interesting because they reveal signatures of both kinetic and diffusion-limited regimes, making the model useful not only as a computational exercise but also as a tool for interpreting real experimental observables.
