The Student Assistant serves as a friendly and professional first point of contact for our customers, which include employers, recruiters, and other external visitors on campus, as well as the TU community of students, alumni, faculty, and staff. Successful candidates will be responsible for a variety of office and customer service tasks ensuring that customers have a seamless and positive experience. This role supports general office operations and special events including but not limited to greeting customers, helping customers locate event venues, interview rooms, and other campus facilities, answering phones/emails, making copies, data entry, creating and contributing to social media content, as well as other duties as assigned.
Student workers will also serve as CCDPE Ambassadors to promote career services on campus. These responsibilities include hosting informational tables, developing programming such as open houses and speaking to various clubs and organizations.
General Qualifications: Students must demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills. Students must also have good computer skills with a basic working knowledge of Word and Excel. Bilingual abilities are a plus. Students must also be able to demonstrate discretion when dealing with confidential information and materials. Successful candidates are expected to maintain a positive attitude and contribute to the overall culture of the CCDPE by being reliable, friendly, helpful, curious, professional and a dedicated part of the TU community.
