Members of the Student Leadership Executive Council serve as elected student leaders who represent the student body, lead campus initiatives, and support the development and engagement of student clubs and organizations. They partner with Student Affairs and the Center for Student Engagement to foster a vibrant, inclusive, and empowering campus environment while developing career competencies through their specific council roles.
Responsibilities and Career Competencies:
Competencies/Skills: Communication (C), Teamwork (TW), Professionalism (P), Career & Self-Development (CSD), Critical Thinking (CT), Community Transformation (CTR), Leadership (L), Technology (T)
Education Requirements: Must be a full-time University of Pikeville student in good academic standing (minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5).
Elected students for CVO, Financial Navigator, and Outreach Social Strategist must have at least one year of prior campus leadership experience (e.g., club officer, RA, ambassador, SGA/CAB member).
Preferred Skills: Experience with leadership roles, strong communication, digital content creation, event planning, financial literacy, student advocacy, and wellness promotion. Familiarity with Word, Canva, social media, and new technologies is beneficial.
Work Schedule: Varies depending on workload; includes meetings, events, and occasional evening/weekend commitments.
Work Conditions: Variable indoor/outdoor environments; potential exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, and event-related conditions.
Physical Demands: Keyboarding, reaching/handling, stooping/kneeling, pushing/pulling up to 30 lbs, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, climbing as needed.

Pay Rate: $8.75/hour
