Position Summary: 

The Thayer School of Education at Wingate University is seeking applicants to fill a part-time, adjunct teaching position in the areas below.  This part-time position will be primarily asynchronous online with some live evening Zoom instruction.

• Assessment, Collaboration, and Special Education Foundations

• Behavioral and Instructional Strategies for Diverse Learners

Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Prepare students in teacher education programs to become effective practitioners in the field of education by teaching and modeling current evidence-based practices

• Provide students with clear, timely, and specific communication and feedback

• Hold regular, predictable virtual office hours

• Alignment with University mission, vision, and strategic roadmap

• Other job duties/responsibilities may be assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Ideal candidates will have a master’s degree or higher in a related discipline (Special Education) as well as both K-12 and college teaching experience.  Experience with Canvas learning management system  and content development tools such as Zoom, Snagit, Camtasia and other e-learning tools is preferred.
