The Doctor of Pharmacy program at the Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) seeks applications for an Adjunct Faculty Member to teach in the Integrated Endocrinology and Urology course and its companion Endocrinology and Urology Recitation Course in Spring 2026 (approximately 2.75 credit hours total). In these connected courses, students will learn and apply the integrated study of physiology, pathophysiology, metabolism, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, therapeutics, clinical pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenomics, patient assessment, patient care, medication use in special populations, and review of pertinent drug literature as they relate to endocrine, reproductive, and urinary systems.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate active learning strategies and an engaging classroom environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to use creative approaches to academic program development, have strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and work effectively in a team environment.

Education and Experience:
Applicants should have a Pharm.D. from an accredited college of pharmacy with post-graduate residency, fellowship, or equivalent experience gained over a period of at least three to five years in a healthcare setting. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in California. Clinical experience in metabolic, endocrine, and urological diseases is preferred. Candidates with previous experience teaching Doctor of Pharmacy students and a track record of effective scholarship will be given preference. Candidates will be expected to have a strong commitment to innovative teaching.

The candidate chosen for the position will be responsible for planning and teaching a curriculum that supports students’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes to prepare them for future jobs in pharmacy and healthcare. This may include, but is not limited to, the following:
Teaching within the combined 6-credit hours, semester-long courses for 15 weeks
Designing active learning activities to build technical skills
Developing formative and summative assessments

Hours, Classification, and Status:
This is a part-time, exempt, adjunct faculty position and is not eligible for benefits.
Schedules will vary depending on course assignments and the needs of the department or the Institute.
The base salary range for this position is $2,500 - $15,000 per semester, depending on credits per course.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability to maintain good concentration level while dealing with interruptions; attention to details with emphasis on accuracy; capable of giving, receiving, and analyzing information, formulating work plans, and articulating goals and action plans. Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time. Standing for extended periods of time. Reaching and extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than the whole hand(s), or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard. Communication skills using the spoken word. Ability to see within normal parameters. Ability to hear within normal parameters. Ability to bend and stoop, for example, to file. Ability to move about. Ability to lift and carry short distances up to 20 lbs., for example to lift or move office supplies, files, books and packages.
Ability to travel locally, depending on business needs. Occasionally, will be required to stand for prolonged periods of time at activities/events on and off-campus.
