We're looking for an Architectural Lighting Designer to collaborate with a New York–based design office working on commercial and residential projects. This is a Part-Time hybrid position. What you'll do:




  • Produce lighting drawing layouts and enlarged details in CAD and Revit.




  • Build photometric calculations from Rhino 3D models.




  • Join Zoom meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and manufacturers to stay up to date with ongoing projects.




  • Manage your time efficiently, anticipating workload to meet deadlines and deliverables without delays.




  • Stay knowledgeable of top-quality lighting manufacturers in the U.S. and internationally.




  • Ensure all documentation meets U.S. standards and project requirements.




  • Contribute creative and technical input to enhance both functionality and aesthetics.




What you must have:




  • 3+ years of experience in a similar architectural lighting design role.




  • Proven experience working on commercial and residential projects.




  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Architectural Lighting Design.




  • Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, and AutoCAD.




  • Knowledge of lighting codes, regulations, and standards.




  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.




  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under tight deadlines.




  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.




  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset focused on streamlining processes.




A great plus:




  • Experience with AGI32.




  • Knowledge of InDesign and Excel.




  • Familiarity with lighting calculations and technical documentation workflows.
