Assembly & Delivery Part-Time

Position Summary:

The Assembler Specialist is responsible for assembling & delivering customer orders. They will work in our delivery department to ensure orders are prepared, inspected, and loaded onto the delivery van securely. They will also be responsible for fulfilling orders related to screen and pipe cutting, window and glass fitting, and other hands-on specialty orders.

Major Responsibilities:

• The major responsibilities for this position include:
• Provide a positive representation of Gerrity’s Ace Hardware
• Provide a positive representation of Gerrity’s Ace Hardware
• Proactively greet and assist customers in solving problems
• Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management
• Assemble, load, and deliver customer orders
• Operate Forklift
• Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store
• Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area
• Assist with merchandise resets through the store
• Assist with maintaining back stock levels
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and
• advertisements
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• The minimum requirements for this position include:
• Minimum of 1-2 years retail/hardware service experience preferred
• High School or GED equivalent
• At least 16 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business

Physical Requirements:

The minimum physical requirements for this position include:

• Employee must regularly move and/or lift 50lbs
• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language with sufficient
• proficiency in order to read and understand
• While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands
• and arms, climb or balance
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision with the ability to adjust focus
