Banquet Event Set-Up (Part-Time)

Position: Banquet Houseman - Rivers Casino Pittsburgh

Position Summary: As a Banquet Houseman at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, your primary responsibility is to meticulously set up banquet rooms according to event floor plans. This encompasses arranging tables, chairs, place settings, stages, dance floors, and other event-related elements.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the setup of banquet rooms based on event floor plans, covering tables, chairs, place settings, stages, dance floors, etc.


• Clean assigned banquet areas with precision.


• Bus tables, maintain side stations during events, and ensure proper stock levels.


• Keep side stands orderly, maintain banquet area cleanliness, and adhere to stock pars.


• Provide professional and friendly assistance to guests.


• Follow management directions consistently.


• Uphold a neat and clean appearance, wearing the proper uniform and name tag.


• Empty trash, stock bus carts as needed, and return used items to the kitchen.


• Perform sweeping, cleaning, and mopping tasks as assigned.


• Fulfill any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Utilize electrical equipment as required.


• Ensure regular and predictable attendance.


• Comprehend and comply with all company, departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.


• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with staff and customers.


• Proficient in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.


• Communicate effectively with team members and guests.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.


• Maneuver carts weighing over 100 lbs. through crowded areas.


• Capability to bend and reach from floor level to 6 ft.


• Demonstrate eye/hand coordination, manual dexterity, normal hearing, and vision.


• Continuous engagement in standing, walking, bending, occasional sitting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and mobility.
