BUS DRIVER 

Position Starts Immediately Upon Hire

Position Summary:

Join the Hemlock Public School District transportation team as a School Bus Driver, where you’ll play a key role in safely transporting our students to and from school each day. This is a part-time role offering a flexible daytime schedule, making it an excellent opportunity for retirees or anyone seeking supplemental income with a meaningful impact.  

Required Qualifications:

• Possess and maintain a valid CDL license.


• Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.


• Graduation from an accredited high school.


• 21 years of age or older.


• Alternative applicable qualifications may be considered.

Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:

• Capable of attaining certification through the Michigan School Bus Safety Education course.


• Will provide training for qualified candidates.

A successful candidate will be able to:

• Exceptional patience with school-age children.


• Good attendance record.


• Work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents to ensure a positive school climate.

Salary:  As per negotiated district contract.
