Role Overview
Carbon Performance is seeking a certified Group Pilates Instructor to lead safe, engaging, and results-focused classes at our new Atlanta location. The ideal candidate will not only deliver traditional Pilates fundamentals but also be qualified to teach a strength-based style of Pilates that supports our members’ performance, stability, and body composition goals. This role is central to delivering a premium member experience, driving engagement, and supporting the successful launch of Pilates during the presale phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver well-structured Pilates classes with a focus on alignment, posture, controlled movement, and strength development.
- Teach a progressive, strength-oriented style of Pilates that complements Carbon’s training model and supports member goals in strength, endurance, and overall fitness.
- Engage and motivate members with clear cueing, encouraging coaching, and strong energy.
- Modify exercises to accommodate varying fitness levels, injuries, or mobility limitations.
- Ensure the safety, organization, and cleanliness of the group training space.
- Collaborate with the Head Instructor and team to continuously evolve the Carbon group training experience.
Presale Responsibilities – Atlanta Launch
- Lead demo classes, free trials, and pop-up sessions to showcase Pilates to prospective members.
- Actively engage with prospects during facility tours and presale events to highlight the value of Pilates as part of Carbon’s training model.
- Support presale by helping capture leads, encouraging class bookings, and following up with interested prospects.
- Create and participate in social proof efforts (testimonials, videos, photos) to promote the Pilates program.
- Partner with the management team for community outreach efforts to build awareness of Pilates in Atlanta prior to launch.
Qualifications
- Certified Pilates Instructor (Mat preferred).
- CPR/AED certified (or ability to obtain prior to start).
1+ year experience teaching group Pilates classes.
- Demonstrated ability to coach a strength-based style of Pilates that integrates with fitness and performance goals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality instruction aligned with Carbon’s standards.
