Job Description - Catholic Director of Religious Education

Job Title: Catholic Director of Religious Education (CDRE)
Location: Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina
Type of Job: Part-time Position
Schedule: Tuesday through Thursday 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Sunday 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Duties:
The CDRE should:

Ensure that the CRP’s Catholic educational programs are informative, engaging and incorporate Catholic religious education and formation to foster students’ spiritual growth.
Design curriculum and assessment, volunteer training and evaluation, student progress, resource management, and attend meetings/events necessary to support the Catholic Religious Education Program and the missions and responsibilities of the CRP.
Instruct youth participants on Catholic sacrament preparations and supervise and conduct youth group workshops and spiritual formation.

Qualifications:

Minimum of two (2) years prior experience as a Catholic Religious Educator
Possession of an active suitability and fitness determination (Public Trust) from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
Strong organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of Catholic doctrine and commitment to spiritual development and moral guidance
