Contemporary Music Director

Location: Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi
Position: Part-time

Duties:

• Lead the music for the Protestant Contemporary Worship Service, including selecting music, and developing worship service orders.
• Direct and coordinate weekly rehearsals and Sunday services for the worship band, ensuring a contemporary worship style.
• Recruit, train, and lead volunteers, including musicians and singers, to form a worship team.
• Provide multi-media worship slides in ProPresenter format for congregational use.
• Lead instrumental and vocal music performances during services and rehearsals, including additional services for special programs or holidays.
• Collaborate with the Chaplain and other team members on planning and executing worship services.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of experience leading Protestant worship services, preferably in a military setting.
• Minimum of two years of experience directing, coordinating, and performing contemporary worship music.
• Active membership and attendance at a Protestant church with a letter of endorsement from the current pastor or chaplain.
• Ability to read and transpose music and lead a worship band.
• Familiarity with or ability to use computer programs like Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and ProPresenter.
