NHC Scott is seeking a Part-Time Culinary Specialist who takes pride in preparing appealing, nutritious meals and providing excellent service. The Culinary Specialist works with the dietary team to support patient and resident satisfaction while maintaining high standards for food quality and sanitation.

Position Responsibilities

• 
  

  Prepare meals and menu items according to recipes, production sheets, portion standards, and therapeutic diet requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain appropriate food temperatures, quality, presentation, and portion control.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with meal service and ensure special dietary needs are followed as directed.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, equipment, and food-storage spaces.

  
  


• 
  

  Follow food-safety, sanitation, infection control, and NHC procedures.

  
  


• 
  

  Receive, rotate, label, and store food and supplies appropriately.

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate effectively with dietary leadership and other team members.

  
  


• 
  

  Support a positive dining experience for patients and residents.

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Previous cooking, culinary, institutional food service, or healthcare food service experience is preferred.

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to follow recipes, menus, production instructions, and therapeutic diet requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively in a team environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Availability to work scheduled shifts from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., including rotating weekends.
