Mission Statement and Vision of Holman Recovery Center:
It is the mission of Holman Recovery Center to provide compassionate care to people with substance use disorders in a supportive, non-judgmental residential environment. Our vision is to teach people to utilize the skills needed for long-term recovery through a holistic approach, evidence-based practices and improving relationships to live the life they deserve. This position is Part-time THURSDAY - SUNDAY
The SUDP counselor is responsible for organizing and providing direct counseling services to patients in the residential setting. The SUDP provides services to patients including but not limited to program orientation, individual counseling, group therapy, assessments, evaluation, and intakes. Applicants are expected to subscribe to the disease concept of substance use disorder (SUD) with the belief that total abstinence is required for ongoing recovery from alcoholism and other drug addiction.

LANGUAGE SKILLS • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules or policy & procedure manuals. • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. • Ability to speak effectively before clients or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS • Ability to calculate figures and amounts including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
